Ben has been in the residential construction, development, and real estate industry for nearly 30 years. A temporary job during the summer of 1993 (working for Angie's parents) led to his career in home remodels and new construction. Since then, he has held several leadership positions with regional home builders, directing all project efforts including budgeting, subcontractor coordination, design execution, and client management.
During the late 90s through the financial crisis of 2009, Ben led the operations within the custom home division for one of the Eastside’s largest regional home builders. He linked arms with local developers in Orange County starting in 2012. During his tenure, his clients included team members of Seattle’s professional sports teams, corporate executives, and families relocating to or within greater Seattle and Orange County. Projects ranged from $1.2M – $16.5M.
He managed an internal team that worked extremely close with each client and their dedicated resources. Through his leadership, the custom division earned awards in six out of seven categories at the Seattle Street of Dreams competition, including the John L. Scott Quality Street “Home of the Year”. Additionally, he and his team received the 2008 National Association of Home Builders “Green Custom Home of the Year” award.
Ben Barrie

Although Angie's professional background is quite different from Ben's, she has always been on the sidelines cheering him and her family members on in the construction industry. Her parents became home builders in the late 1970s and built starter and high-end custom homes in Portland, Austin, and Seattle for decades. When her dad passed away in 1988, her mom stepped up as the General Contractor and quickly took the family business to a new level. Angie always spent her free time cleaning job sites, looking at real estate, and designing the perfect "forever house" with Ben and the family.
After 25+ years in corporate roles, Angie made the bold decision to walk away from weekly travel, daily Zoom meetings, and people management in early summer 2025 to focus on Barrie Group. She will leverage her years of business development, P&L management, and contract execution to elevate Barrie Group. She is hopeful that their two adult children, Lanni & Tyler, will someday link arms with her and Ben, as her siblings did with her parents. Until then, she enjoys spending time with them on the golf course, traveling, wine tasting, and hearing about their adventures in their corporate roles.

Sarah brings over a decade of experience in brand strategy, design, and communications to her role as Marketing Director for Barrie Group. She has spent her career helping businesses craft luxury brands and digital experiences that serve as powerful tools for growth.
Alongside working with Barrie Group, Sarah has built and scaled her own design agency, The Sarah Collective, where she partners with entrepreneurs across industries to develop branding and websites that elevate client experience and establish lasting market presence.
At Barrie Group, Sarah brings a blend of creative vision and business strategy to oversee all marketing efforts, brand positioning, and client experience. Her passion lies in telling the story of Barrie Group with clarity and purpose, ensuring every detail, from digital campaigns to client communications, reflects the company’s legacy of excellence and growth.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys traveling with her husband, chasing after their young son, and finding inspiration in design, family, and community.
